Easy Way --> Get The Benefits Of A COLD Shower

December 08, 2022 2 min read

If you've listened to any health podcasts recently (like our 100% free Peak Performance Life Podcast), you've probably heard about the benefits of cold showers.

According to Medical Daily taking cold showers regularly may:

- Promote fat loss
- Improve immunity

- Lower Stress

- Lower chance of depression

- Increase testosterone

- Promote faster muscle recovery

- Enhance skin and hair

- Help you get better sleep

And more!

I can personally tell you that for me I feel ALIVE and have increased mental energy, alertness, and motivation to get stuff done after a cold shower.

I now LOVE the effects of my cold shower and I'm pretty sure I'll be doing them for the rest of my life...

BUT, I wasn't always this way.

If you haven't yet started with cold showers, I understand it can sound a little hard or intimidating.

At first the little voice in my head kept saying "but I love nice warm showers".

So I want to share with you what I feel is the easiest way that worked for me to start getting all these amazing benefits of cold showers.

First - You DON'T have to give up your nice warm shower. In fact, we have known for years about the benefits of going from hot and then to cold.

I still thoroughly enjoy my nice warm shower. I shampoo and soap at my leisure and then I turn the shower as cold as it can go.

Second - You can work your way up to 2 minutes, you don't have to start there. Start out with 30 seconds of cold for your first few days and gradually increase to 2 minutes.

After a few days you will start to ease into it and get used to it. This is when you'll really start enjoying it and feeling the benefits.

Third - BREATHE & RELAX INTO IT. Take nice deep breathes, try to slow down your breathing a little. Remind yourself of all the benefits and tell your mind to relax.

It's counterproductive if you are full of anxiety and breathing super fast and the voice in your head is not allowing you to relax.

Instead, as you are turning the water from warm to cold... take a nice deep breath, relax, and say to yourself "the cold is my warm friend".

Then step into it and remind yourself to stay as relaxed as possible.

Get the cold all over your head and body and especially on your vegus nerve (where your neck connects to your back), and your chest.

Awhile ago I bought a package at a Cryotherapy place but when I realized I could get the same benefits for free in the comfort of my own home and on my own schedule I didn't even bother to go.

Finishing your nice warm shower with 2 minutes of cold is one of the best free hacks available to you!

Now go try it out for yourself!

To your health and happiness,
